Our meeting was full up with both quilters and information yet again this month. We were reminded of our Craft Table Sew-In at Little Shop of Stitches this Tuesday August 12th. We’re doing a Kids Variety Pack. This session will be from 10 – 12. We will be making a Tic Tac Toe board, Crayon Keeper so bring several juvenile fat quarters. You may also choose to make a child’s apron or a pillow case. You will need 1 yard of fabric for the apron or pillow case. Jenn has some great fabric in the Little Shop if you have none in your stash.
At our September meeting we be presenting our completed Repurposing projects. Many of you have made sock monkeys from socks, dolls from handkerchiefs, items from one of a kind placements that you found on a clearance rack, anything from a wash cloth or dish towel. Use your imagination, check the library or the internet for project ideas.
And here is our member Show & Tell.
Maria Elkins was our guest and she presented her lecture and trunk show on color and how to use it in designing your quilts. She shared with us some very useful tools to help select your fabric and determine the correct shades, values and hues alone with many of her award winning quilts.
A great meeting!
