!!About Material Girls

Material Girls began in 2001 as a group of 25 quilters who wanted a local place to meet and share ideas and friendship. The group has grown to more than 60 members. We have won awards at several quilt shows in the area.

We are active in the community, doing several community service projects throughout the year. Among the projects we have done are making quilts for preemies, chemo caps and wheelchair bags for local hospitals and nursing homes.

There is something for everyone in our group, whether you are an experienced quilter or just beginning.

I’ve been intending to come to a meeting ever since last spring. Never made it yet…now I work every Thurs at 6am, so staying awake and focused for an evening meeting hasn’t happened yet. See you at the Quilt Show, anyway!
